Song Rider, Jack Steven Dempsey, is a veteran singer-songwriter from Oakman, Georgia. Steve's professional experience includes: being a member of the David Allan Coe Band, appearing in three Confederate Railroad videos, and his ongoing professional performances on the Western Honky Tonk circuit booked by Sight & Sound Productions of Austin, Texas. A top-40 and classic country artist, Song Rider has released twelve songs through Bellingrath of Atlanta, Georgia.

Steve is a proud and productive member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and Sons of Confederate Veterans Mechanized Cavalry. As part of his efforts for the Southern Heritage Movement, Song Rider has written a catalogue of songs including the very popular Confederate Angel.

Song Rider works either as a band or as an individual performer, and is interested in providing authentic and enjoyable entertainment for Southern Heritage events including Sons of Confederate Veterans, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Order of the Confederate Rose, and SCV-Mechanized Cavalry gatherings and concerts.
