Born and raised in Virginia in the Shenandoah Valley, Lisa was vocally trained for eight years, graduated with a degree in theater, and performed in musical theatre in Washington, D.C., New York, and California. Performing lead roles in a variety of shows including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Gypsy, Three Penny Opera, Godspell, Lorelei, Whoopee!, Big River, Punch Henry's Jazz Funeral (an original musical performed at The Kennedy Center) and others.

Lisa has recorded demos for songwriters and jingles for various studios, and played the hotel circuit while living in California.

Eventually moving to Nashville, Lisa joined the United Daughters of the Confederacy in 2003, and became a chairperson for The Music of the Confederacy for the state of Tennessee. Realizing the need to record songs from this time period, it is Lisa's intent to preserve the songs of the Civil War era in the hope that they are remembered and treasured.

Currently Lisa is on the Worship Arts Praise Team at New Hope Community Church in Brentwood, TN. She also performs at various UDC functions, weddings, and funerals.
